The new in-app Snapchat stores features allow social media influencers to sell merchandise directly on the social media platform. These in-app stores will be powered by Shopify and available for users by visiting influencers’ pages.
The in-app checkout option is limited to U.S.-based Snapchat users with international users redirected to a mobile website, necessary because of privacy and data requirements.
As of June 6, the Snapchat in-app stores are available to the following five influencers: Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Shay Mitchell, Spencer Pratt and Bhad Bhabie.
