With Bryan’s promotion comes the re-establishment of the CMO role for DMS
Clearwater, FL – February 20, 2020 — Digital Media Solutions® (DMS), the leading global martech company leveraging innovative, performance-driven brand and marketplace solutions to connect consumers and advertisers, is proud to announce the promotion of industry expert Kathy Bryan to the first-ever female Chief Marketing Officer. As CMO, Bryan will oversee all aspects of corporate marketing and communications for DMS, including DMS Insights — an approved Google News publisher. Heading the DMS corporate marketing and communications department since 2017, Bryan has established herself as a reliable and innovative power player within the company. She has effectively transformed the department by becoming the visionary behind the DMS brand and voice, tripling the size of the corporate marketing team and pioneering the creation of a formal digital content strategy, which in turn has helped DMS to establish a solid footprint in the martech industry.

With Bryan’s promotion comes the re-establishment of the CMO role for DMS, as the company has not filled the coveted position since 2017. One of Bryan’s early initiatives in her role as CMO honors the power of women — both at DMS and in the martech industry as a whole — through the Women of Martech, a not-for-profit trade organization. With DMS Foundation as the founding sponsor, Women of Martech will promote and amplify the experiences, contributions, successes, achievements and innovation by women in the industry. Bryan, along with several other power players from DMS, plan to officially launch Women of Martech in March.

For Bryan, affecting meaningful change and challenging herself outside the workplace are of equal importance to the strides she has made in the office. Playing a key role in the creation and success of the first ever DMS Heroes & Legends Ultramarathon as both a strategist and runner, Bryan will once again this year join Team DMS in the 2nd Annual DMS Heroes & Legends Ultramarathon, a 220-mile race from New Smyrna to Clearwater Beach, Florida. Four teams of DMS runners will race relay style, enduring the longest ultramarathon course across the state of Florida. Partnering this year with Headstrong, the Ultramarathon will raise funds and awareness for veteran mental health services.
