Be The Thermostat
It’s June 28th.
We all entered the day the same way: We got out of bed and moved forward.
How do you feel in the morning? What does your day look like? Are you ready? Do you know what you are going to do today?
If, every evening, you spend just 10 minutes visualizing the morning ahead, your mind is incredibly powerful when you wake up, able to remember your plans and start following through.
Just 10 minutes in the evening…
...lets you set the tone for the day ahead.
...helps you jumpstart your day the way you want, the way you visualized.
The jump start keeps us focused during these last three days.
June 28th, 29th and 30th…
...are NOT about what has happened and what we should have done or could have done.
… ARE about what we can do now and how that impacts us now as we finish out the month and the quarter.
We are where we are, we are exactly where we should be, and we will get to where we are going. We are in control.
So, getting back to the subject line…
What is the difference between a thermometer and a thermostat?
- The thermometer simply tells the temperature of the room. It takes the room’s temperature into itself and effectively becomes the room temperature. If the room is hot, the thermometer mirrors that. If the room is cold, the thermometer takes the cold into itself. The thermometer is NOT in control.
- The thermostat measures the temperature of the room and then has the ability to change that temperature to what it desires. The thermostat is in control.
Be the thermostat. Be in control.
