I AM
Committing To Living Your Best Life Today… What Does That Mean?
To commit to living your best life today, you must accept the past for everything that it is, because it has gotten you to exactly where you are today. And where you are today is exactly where you should be.
We All Live In The ‘Now.’
Nobody has ever lived in the past or the future. You are right here, right now. The now is all we really have.
Living In The Now Doesn’t Mean You Shouldn’t Look Back At The Lessons Of The Past.
The lessons of the past are the most valuable learning experiences you have in your life. And, if properly leveraged, the lessons of your past can be used to drive enormous growth and progress.
The Narrative You Are Telling Yourself About Your Past Experiences Is What Causes You To Feel How You Feel About Them.
Think about your perceived “biggest mistake.” Now flip the script in your mind. Think about your “biggest mistake” as your “greatest challenge” instead. How does it feel now?
There are so many examples I can give from my life, but my examples will not be the same as yours. We have all made mistakes and faced challenges as a result. Every. Single. One. Of. Us.
Where You Go From Here Is Up To You.
You choose the narrative (thoughts) you believe, the words you speak and the actions you take. These thoughts, words and actions lead you to tomorrow.
When you can look back and accept everything that has happened for what it is, and that everything that has happened has contributed to creating the you that lives today… that is empowering.
You Must Own Your Past And Think Of Your Past As A Positive Influence On Your Now.
Take the phrase “I AM” and add empowering words after them.
I AM better off for having lived through what I’ve lived through, because I am stronger as a result.
I AM exactly where I should be.
I AM the best version of me.
I AM committed to growth.
There are an infinite number of statements you can make to reinforce your strength. Use them to empower yourself.
When You Own Your Past, You Can Make It Be What You Want It To Be.
Align your today with your vision. And then, when you create your tomorrow, you can say… I am exactly where I should be.
