My kids love the band Imagine Dragons. We listen to them each morning on the Alexa in the kitchen. My kids always agree on what we will listen to (which, those with young kids know, is something to embrace). As a result, I have gotten into this band, and my favorite song is Whatever It Takes.
Whatever It Takes got me thinking about winning each day one day at a time, and that got me to thinking about how days are effectively like blocks.
Think Of Days Like The Wooden Blocks Little Kids Play With…
You want to build a tower, and therefore you need to stack the blocks on top of each other. The better the stacking, the more stable the tower, and the higher you can go.
I want you all to look at your day like a block…You have today to decide what to do with this block.
Play this game… a productive day means you have been able to place that block in a great location, perhaps above an existing block, and now you can stack higher on top of it.
Stacking Blocks – Or Days – Like This Is How You Create Momentum In Your Life As You Pursue Your Goals
365 blocks in a year. Each block represents a small degree of progress and takes you higher. The more you stack, the higher you go.
I love the idea of stacking days on top of each other. And there is no time like the present to do this, so my personal motto for the year is…
I do whatever it takes to “win the day” so I can stack it on top of yesterday and stack tomorrow on top of today.
Stack the days.
Stack the weeks.
Stack the months.
Stack the quarters.
Win the year.
