Leveraging The Play Clock
Context on where you are, how you’re progressing and how much time you have left is crucial. It’s like managing the play clock in a game.
Leveraging short sprint intervals, we can understand early if we are on the right track to hit our targets. Conversely, short intervals help us know when we are off track and need to adjust our next interval’s sprint.
To manage your days and weeks as sprints, you must identify your top priorities for those sprint periods. Write them down for yourself and share them with your coworkers to create awareness and self-accountability.
When you check in with each other, ask: What are the top 3 things you are working on this week? How’s your week going? Is there anything I can do to be helpful?
Our backpacks get heavy from time to time, and that’s okay. We are each here to support one another.
