One Year Ago
It’s March 15th.
Last year, on March 15th, we were just beginning this unexpected journey, not realizing what was ahead. One year ago this week, we were living a different life. There was uncertainty and a lot of fear and widespread doubt as a result of that uncertainty.
Look Back To One Year Ago.
Today, I want each of you to look back to your life one year ago and think about how you had to reframe your life as everything around us changed quickly and dramatically. Think about where you were, what you were experiencing and how the uncertainty of what was ahead impacted you and those around you.
Now, Think About Life Today.
Look at yourself and your family. How incredible and amazing is it to be where we are?
Although in-person events and activities are returning to some degree, much of the change incurred a year ago is still in place. To a large degree, however, the uncertainty is gone. Do we know what the next few months will bring? Not completely. But, we know how strong we are, we know what we have overcome, and we are confident we can handle anything ahead.
In The Face Of Tremendous Adversity, There Is Always Possibility.
We all faced tremendous uncertainty and adversity exactly a year ago this week. And, we all embraced that adversity and found the possibility that existed as a result.
Many, Many Lessons Were Learned This Year.
- We learned the value of being open and honest with each other.
- We learned the power of gratitude. We learned the need for presence and conscious living.
- We learned the power of vulnerability.
And, we learned the value of connections — the most important lesson in my opinion, because those connections lead to creativity and growth.
