Are Goals Actually Lighthouses?

Is A Lighthouse A Final Destination Or Simply A Guide Along A Journey?  

Lighthouses are normally just guide points, traditionally for mariners and ships seeking port. But ships are not meant to stay in port for long, and lighthouses are usually not positioned at the actual dock where the ship is tied up. 

Lighthouses are guideposts or waypoints. Places you need to reach in order to go further. 

Lighthouses Are Like Goals. 

Both lighthouses and goals are generally designed to be out in the distance, guiding us to places we are meant to go. We choose the destination, and the lighthouse (or goal) guides us there. 

Lighthouses Are Waypoints. But, What Does That Mean?

Because lighthouses are just points we move toward in a journey, we eventually must pass them.

Proverbially speaking, lighthouses need to move, so they can keep guiding you, as they are not the final destination.

Like Lighthouses, Goals Guide Us To Specific Points, But From There, It Is On Us To Make The Decision To Go Further. 

As we achieve our goals, we set new, more aggressive goals to drive our growth and progress. As we grow and move on, the lighthouses (and goals) we are chasing need to grow and move on, too.
