ChowNow and delivery.com, online food ordering systems that aim to help independent restaurants across the U.S. grow, are partnering with Google to expand their businesses. Partnering with Google allows customers to order through Google Search, Google Maps and Google Assistant.
With this food delivery partnership, Google users can search for restaurants and place orders with more than 12,000 local delivery.com partners and 11,000 local ChowNow partners.
Dynamic Marketing Partnerships Lead To More Brand Visibility
While there are many food delivery apps in the market, plenty of consumers still turn to traditional search methods to find meals and satisfy cravings, Marketing Dive reported.
And with half of diners ordering food for delivery once a month or more, it’s crucial for restaurants to have prominent presences in search results, even if they already have their own food delivery apps.
“delivery.com is excited to enter this next chapter with Google,” says CEO Jed Kleckner. “We're thrilled to make our restaurant partners available to Google users, making online ordering for this audience more accessible and convenient than ever.”
Google Becomes A More Valuable Resource
With restaurant reviews available in Google Maps and food suggestions on Google Lens, Google is aiming to be the go-to search engine for hungry consumers. By partnering with restaurants, Google becomes the “one-stop shop,” as Marketing Dive pointed out, for any and all inquiries — for food and beyond.
