Mark Brodzeller has built his career at the intersection of insurance, SaaS and performance marketing. As Head of Enterprise Business Development at DMS, he focuses on building and expanding partnerships with enterprise P&C organizations to drive long-term, profitable growth.
In this Q&A, Mark shares his perspective on enterprise partnerships, the evolving P&C landscape and what he sees as the biggest opportunities at the intersection of performance marketing and insurance.
Q: What excites you most about leading enterprise business development at DMS right now?
We have a strong mix of experience across general insurance SaaS and P&C performance marketing, and seeing those two disciplines work together to solve real industry challenges is energizing.
Q: Enterprise P&C partnerships can be complex. How do you approach building relationships that drive long-term value rather than just short-term wins?
It comes down to aligning marketing teams to the KPIs that matter at the business and C-level, and giving those teams proactive control over their outcomes and budget allocation. When that alignment exists, partnerships have a stronger foundation.
Q: You've worked across AI-native platforms, large SaaS providers and performance marketing. How does that range of experience shape the way you develop business at DMS?
My prior experience allows me to build consultative relationships at multiple levels of an organization, from the teams executing day-to-day to the leadership setting broader corporate goals, and make sure everything connects back to what the business is trying to achieve.
Q: The P&C insurance market is evolving quickly. What trends are you watching most closely, and how is DMS positioning itself to stay ahead?
How machine learning and AI can help better align marketing to the specific appetite and underwriting guidelines of P&C insurers, as those capabilities are changing by the year and sometimes by the month.
Q: When you're not building enterprise partnerships, how do you like to spend your time?
Spending time with family and friends, golfing, fishing and picking up a good book when the weather doesn't cooperate.
