Clearwater, FL – February 11, 2019 – When crisis occurs, veterans and first responders work tirelessly to put their lives on the line to save others. Digital Media Solutions (DMS) is pleased to announce it will host the longest ultramarathon race across the state of Florida honoring veterans and first responders, the DMS Heroes & Legends Ultramarathon. This dynamic charitable race experience will bring attention to the needs of first responders and veterans as proceeds will benefit the Gary Sinise Foundation’s First Responder Outreach program.
WHAT: The DMS Heroes & Legends Ultramarathon is the longest ultramarathon course across the state of Florida honoring veterans and first responders. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Gary Sinise Foundation’s First Responder Outreach program.
WHO: Digital Media Solutions (DMS), the fastest-growing independent digital performance marketing company, will host this inaugural charitable event. A team of DMS participants will run alongside first responders and veterans to show solidarity and raise awareness.
WHEN: March 15-17, 2019
WHERE: The DMS Heroes & Legends Ultramarathon course begins in the shadow of the historic Kennedy Space Center. Participants will be running a grueling relay-style race from coast to coast along a 219.2-mile course that will culminate in an invitation-only closing ceremony in Clearwater Beach, FL.
WHY: Despite working tirelessly and facing unimaginable risks, veterans and first responders make the impossible happen every day. The DMS Heroes & Legends Ultramarathon is a moment to show support and recognize their incredible contributions. The DMS team will run relay-style with veterans and first responders, passing the Heroes & Legends Baton until the job is done. Donations for this effort will benefit the Gary Sinise Foundation’s First Responder Outreach program. Through the Gary Sinise Foundation’s First Responder Outreach and R.I.S.E. (Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment) programs, they build specially-adapted smart homes for severely injured heroes and provide critical funding for emergency relief, training and essential equipment to help ensure these heroes perform to the best of their abilities.
