Digital Media Solutions Drives Meaningful Change This Holiday Season And Beyond

Clearwater, FL – November 26, 2019 — With the return of #GivingTuesday comes a new chapter and growing mission for Digital Media Solutions® (DMS). Led by DMS CEO Joe Marinucci, DMS has announced its ongoing efforts to drive positive change, challenge others to do the same and commit itself to supporting meaningful causes.

“Since our founding, we’ve raised funds to benefit first responder and children’s organizations, contributed to food pantries, purchased holiday gifts for children in foster care and more,” said Marinucci. “But today, DMS is proudly sharing that our commitment to giving back to our communities is stronger than ever. We are dedicated to driving meaningful change, devoted to becoming the change we want to see in the world and holding ourselves accountable to leading by example and encouraging those around us to positively impact their local and global communities.”

DMS has expressed global encouragement for all offices and employees to identify and execute philanthropic projects — as a team and individually. In doing so, DMS provides employees with five days off each year to use toward causes that matter to them. In addition, DMS, as a whole, will continue its previously established initiatives alongside the launch of even more programs rolling out in 2020 and beyond.

“Our core business – digital performance marketing – did not change, but our mindsets did,” added Marinucci. “We know the everyday grind supports our purpose of making a measurable impact on what matters. To be leaders, we must dedicate ourselves to making a positive impact on our communities. We must inspire everyone around us to think bigger. We must think past the P&L and measure our triple bottom line: profits, people and the planet.”

DMS has a rich history of working with and supporting a diverse set of charities and nonprofit brands around the country in order to contribute to, build and scale consistent and sustainable giving programs. Throughout 2019, DMS has and will continue to play a pivotal role in a number of events and initiatives, while challenging others to do the same:

  • Annual DMS Heroes & Legends Ultramarathon: The month of March welcomed the inaugural DMS Heroes & Legends Ultramarathon — the longest ultramarathon course across the state of Florida honoring veterans and first responders. After completing its mission to raise $50,000 for the Gary Sinise Foundation’s First Responder Outreach program, DMS pledged to employ at least 15% of its workforce from the military community by 2020.
  • DMS Season of Giving: 2019 marks the fifth year of the company’s signature annual community engagement program, DMS Season of Giving. Separated into two phases, the season begins as each DMS office partners with a local nonprofit to provide complete Thanksgiving meals for families in need. This year, Team DMS collected enough items to provide packages for 83 families, along with more than 1,200 pounds of clothing. For the second phase, DMS is proud to once again partner with the nonprofit, Guardian ad Litem Foundation, which provides representation, support and resources for abused, neglected and abandoned children in dependency systems across the U.S. New this year, DMS united with local Guardian ad Litem branches across the U.S. to impact communities surrounding all DMS locations to fulfill entire gift lists for 200 children in need. Additionally, the newest DMS office in San Diego is excited to be “adopting” a class of 21 kids from a local school. Each student shared a Christmas wish list, and DMS employees will play Santa by providing these gifts for each child along with snacks and decorations for the class holiday party.
  • Multiple Major Philanthropic Events: This year, DMS supported a number of local charitable events, including the Second Annual War Heroes on Water Tournament (WHOW) to show appreciation to our nation’s heroes, raise awareness of the challenges veterans face after their tours are complete and raise funds for organizations dedicated to supporting veterans; the 10th Annual Rizzo Companies Arthritis Foundation Golf Tournament, which aims to bring attention to the local arthritis community and the foundation’s ongoing mission to find a cure; and the 10th Annual Career Education Scholarship Fund (CESF) Golf Tournament benefitting deserving American Intercontinental University (AIU) students, with the hopes of helping alleviate the financial burden students face.
