Inside Sales Representative

Digital Media Solutions (DMS) is seeking a highly motivated, goal-oriented and experienced Inside Sales Representative to join our fast-growing Insurance Division (DMSI). In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for identifying and enrolling new customers through outbound, phone-based sales, targeting a defined and curated prospect list — all in support of the continued growth and development of our Insurance Division.

Compensation:

The starting hourly rate for this position ranges from $20 to $30 per hour, based on experience. In addition to base pay, team members are eligible for uncapped, performance-based commissions tied to individual production and sales results. A $1,000 training completion bonus is awarded upon successful completion of our training program. 

Requirements

  • Research new prospects, identify key decision-makers within insurance agencies, and generate interest in DMS’s insurance lead products.
  • Proactively source new sales opportunities through a combination of outbound cold calling, email outreach, and follow-up to inbound leads.
  • Identify qualified opportunities to develop and close, so they may be supported by the customer success team after the sale is completed.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales quotas on a consistent basis.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements, overcome objections and vet opportunities to determine alignment with DMS’s insurance platforms.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date sales pipeline of prospects that aligns with DMSI's revenue growth.
  • Stay informed on current insurance industry trends, target audiences, and competitor activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of inside sales experience with a proven track record of consistently exceeding quotas.
  • Significant outbound cold calling experience is a MUST.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
  • Experience using pipeline management systems and integrated dialer platforms (Salesforce or similar CRMs).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and management.
  • Self-motivated, organized and goal-oriented with a strong desire to succeed in a competitive sales environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in the insurance industry or insurance online lead generation.
  • Previous experience working with Salesforce.
  • Experience with over-the-phone verbal communication during cold calls and writing cold business emails.
  • Strong phone presence and experience conducting a high volume (100+/day) of outbound cold calls.
  • Knowledge of corporate productivity and web presentation tools.
  • Knowledge of effectively managing and reporting on individual sales pipelines in order to hit monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
